	<description>The Sweatshop of Love Blog celebrates every aspect of knitting - from finding a pattern to finishing a project. I publish my own patterns, share everything on my needles, and help knitters of all skill levels get excited about knitting. Never snobby, I use creativity and ingenuity to create finished projects for less. More than anything, The Sweatshop of Lover&#039;s Blog LOVES knitting and wants to make you love it, too.</description>

<p>After a surprisingly successful World Wide Knit in Public Day, (surprisingly successful meaning Lori, Gil, Martin and I ate an entire freezer bag of seriously delicious chocolate chip cookies that Lori made and brought for us) I needed a nutritious dinner.</p>
<div id="attachment_548" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><img class="size-medium wp-image-548" title="6.14.09 farmers market 001 (2)" src="http://www.thesweatshopoflove.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/6.14.09-farmers-market-001-2-300x215.jpg" alt="Veggie Fried Rice" width="300" height="215" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Veggie Stir Fry Rice</p></div>
<p>PT and I used the left over rice from <a href="http://www.thesweatshopoflove.com/blog/?p=534">last night&#8217;s scallop dinner </a>and stir fried up some carrots, broccoli, onions, and radishes for an amazing batch of veggie stir fry. We used some teriyaki stir fry sauce, a little soy sauce, and some ginger! This was sweet and crisp and exactly what I needed to combat all the sugar I ate earlier in the day.</p>
<p>We kept that healthy feeling going and (I&#8217;m a total liar. After dinner we met up with some dodgeball playing friends, then had some time to kill before rocking some Polish karaoke up on Division and Central Park. We went to <a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz/el-cid-2-chicago">El Cid on Kedzie</a> and ate some nachos with cheese and guacamole and beans! Then we needed dessert so we walked across the street to McDonalds and got soft serve cones. The correct beginning of this paragraph is, &#8216;We were huge fatties, and to get back on track we&#8217;) <a href="http://www.thesweatshopoflove.com/blog/?tag=muffin-club">Muffin Clubbed</a> our way over to the <a href="http://www.logansquarefarmersmarket.org/">Logan Square Farmers Market</a> this morning before Sweater Club.</p>
<div id="attachment_549" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 237px"><img class="size-medium wp-image-549" title="6.14.09 farmers market 003 (2)" src="http://www.thesweatshopoflove.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/6.14.09-farmers-market-003-2-227x300.jpg" alt="Bounty" width="227" height="300" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Bounty</p></div>
<p>We got some weird looking long radishes, a lot of mushrooms, and green garlic that I assumed was scallions before <a href="http://www.videnovichfarms.com/">Vera</a> corrected me. Green garlic is like a cross between a scallion and garlic, apparently, and can be used like a scallion. She totally talked me into it and I&#8217;m glad she did.</p>
<div id="attachment_550" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><img class="size-medium wp-image-550" title="6.14.09 farmers market 006 (2)" src="http://www.thesweatshopoflove.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/6.14.09-farmers-market-006-2-300x260.jpg" alt="Chopped and Ready to Go!" width="300" height="260" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Chopped and Ready to Go!</p></div>
<p>We had omelets on the brain, so we chopped a few mushrooms, a radish, and the entire green garlic, stalk and all.</p>
<div id="attachment_551" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><img class="size-medium wp-image-551" title="6.14.09 farmers market 007 (2)" src="http://www.thesweatshopoflove.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/6.14.09-farmers-market-007-2-300x214.jpg" alt="Best. Omelet. Ever." width="300" height="214" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Best. Omelet. Ever.</p></div>
<p>See how pretty they turned out?! I&#8217;m so proud! You know I have a problem with the omelet flipping. We sprinkled some parmesan on the top and it was the perfect cheese. Served with potatoes? I savored every bite.</p>
<p>And now we have a shit ton of mushrooms, radishes, and green garlic! What to do with mushrooms? Can you give me a P-I-Z-Z-A! Hellz yeah! I&#8217;ve been craving pizza something fierce and what better excuse to bake one up than a fridge full of mushrooms?</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll let you know how it turns out.</p>

<p>So, World Wide Knit in Public Day? I&#8217;m at New Wave, watching it rain, blogging. Seriously bummer, considering two days ago the weather report was calling for a beautiful knitting outside day. But, I&#8217;m here, just in case anyone shows up, which I&#8217;m doubting. The Logan Square Knitting Meetup is here, knitting away, so I feel good that the community is represented.</p>
<p>And I haven&#8217;t had a chance to blog too much this week because of how crappy I&#8217;ve felt. Today? Feeling good! This is easily the best I&#8217;ve felt in over a week. I worked out yesterday, and last night my body gave out right around 10, which isn&#8217;t normal. This morning I got a workout in and am hoping I don&#8217;t collapse until I want to. But, I&#8217;m so over it. I&#8217;m done being sick. So I&#8217;m going to act normal and hope my body catches up.</p>
<div id="attachment_538" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><img class="size-medium wp-image-538" title="6.13.09 scallops (2)" src="http://www.thesweatshopoflove.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/6.13.09-scallops-2-300x224.jpg" alt="Muffin Club" width="300" height="224" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Muffin Club</p></div>
<p><img src="file:///Users/youthoriented/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/moz-screenshot-1.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">
<p style="text-align: left;">Friday morning, like last week, PT and I got up early and baked some muffins. I hadn&#8217;t been grocery shopping in quite a while, so I really had to scrape the bottom of the barrel with these. I had a can of peaches, no eggs, no brown sugar, and didn&#8217;t want to use oil, so basically I mixed together flour, sugar, cinnamon and ginger, a can of peaches with the juice, and apple sauce, and out came these. They were ridiculously heavy, but seriously delicious! I wouldn&#8217;t give them to anyone by any means, but with my recipe limitations, I&#8217;m pretty proud of these peach muffins.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Lori and Gil showed up! Hurrah! Knitting in Public Day is not a total bust!</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">
<p style="text-align: left;">
<div id="attachment_539" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><img class="size-medium wp-image-539" title="6.13.09 scallops 004 (2)" src="http://www.thesweatshopoflove.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/6.13.09-scallops-004-2-300x238.jpg" alt="Spicy Scallops" width="300" height="238" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Spicy Scallops</p></div>
<p style="text-align: left;">Last night&#8217;s dinner was almost a total bust. Apparently I can&#8217;t be trusted to season anything, because, <a href="http://www.thesweatshopoflove.com/blog/?p=471">yet again</a>, I made the sauce for these scallops way too spicy. What is wrong with me? I swear I used like a quarter of a jalapeno! But, I love scallops so much that I sucked it up and ate them.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">
<p style="text-align: left;">
<div id="attachment_540" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><img class="size-medium wp-image-540" title="6.13.09 scallops 006 (2)" src="http://www.thesweatshopoflove.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/6.13.09-scallops-006-2-300x238.jpg" alt="Velma, Up in my Grill" width="300" height="238" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Velma, Up in my Grill</p></div>
<p style="text-align: left;">I got some ice cream to calm down my tongue, and Velma was all over it. She has never been interested in ice cream before, and doesn&#8217;t usually care at all about people food, like Pudge Rodreguez, so we had to take a picture. Before I slapped her. &#8216;Get away from my ice cream, bitch!&#8217;</p>
