Ebook Patterns are Now Available Individually!

This last month has been so much fun; checking in on ravelry and seeing how many people are putting my patterns in their queues, seeing people tweet and blog about my patterns. It’s really helpful for me to see what patterns are more popular than others and what knitters are excited to knit so my upcoming patterns and ebooks can get better and better!

And now I’m happy to offer you each of my ebook patterns individually! The ebook is still available in it’s entirety, so if you like 3 or more of these patterns you can buy the ebook and have them all. Otherwise, enjoy 1 or 2!

Thanks again for all the support and feedback from my first ebook!

World Wide Knit in Public Day, Sweatshop Style

Saturday, June 12th was World Wide Knit in Public Day, and we over at The Sweatshop of Love celebrated in style.

Celebrating World Wide Knit in Public Day

Ann, Laura (in her Fitted Knits Tunic!), Rachael, and Tara were all hard at work on their projects while sipping iced tea and beers at Street Side Cafe, who were lovely hosts.

Fitted Knits Tunic, Entrelac Scarf

Here is another look at Laura’s cute tunic. And she is rocking out to a Sweatshop Twin Cities Anklet Knit Kit! Rachel is working on a really fun entrelac scarf. Scared of entrelac? The fall class schedule is going to be crazy into entrelac so just wait!

Action Shot!

Grisel is diligently working on the boring part of her toe up sock (post heel turn – gah!), and I dragged Katie along, too. How long can she live with me and not learn to knit? Current count: 8 days.

Gil, Grisel, and Me!

Tara took some pics, too.

Ohh Cute Shirt!

(I rocked out my The Loop Entrelac Top for the occasion!)

As always, World Wide Knit in Public Day was a blast. Any excuse to pull my knitting out at the bar! Thanks to everyone who came out!

Summer Tour 2010 Ebook Pattern: Twin Cities Anklets

Twin Cities Anklets

(Now available without purchase of a kit!)

Minnesota is chilly! Even in the middle of summer I need to layer up, just in case. A great way to be warm without looking like a big baby is with these ruffled anklet socks. Pair them with flats and a skirt on your way to the Great Minnesota Get Together, or dress them up with peep toe heels on a night out on the town. St Paul OR Minneapolis; these socks are dual city approved.

A shout out to the frilly socks we wore to kindergarten, the Twin Cities Anklet Socks ride a fine line between seriously freaking adorable and TOO ADORABLE TO HANDLE. Knit in sport weight cotton and size 4 double pointed needles, they knit up fast so you can wear them this weekend. The double moss stitch sock tops and ruffle detail add even more sweetness.

Introducing Twin Cities Knit Kits!

Twin Cities Headband and Socks

It’s been about two and a half months since we cooked up the Madison Cowl and Madison Hand Warmers kits and we couldn’t wait any longer to bring you another set of knit kits!

Both Twin Cities Headband and Twin Cities Anklet Socks Knit Kits come in Blackberry and Flamingo.

Twin Cities Headband in Blackberry

Twin Cities Headband! (rav page)

This ruffle headband with plaid button closure is so cute I haven’t taken mine off since I finished it and I know you won’t, either! The seed stitch boarder keeps it from curling, the ruffle is just big enough to make a statement but not so big it takes over your head, and the handmade plaid fabric button is the perfect accent. In short: You need this headband!

A shout out to the ruffle ankle socks we wore as little girls, this big girl version will send any outfit from cute to seriously adorable.

This basic toe up sock pattern with a double moss stitch top, eyelet rows and ruffled finish is a slightly more advanced pattern, but if you’ve knit socks before you can tackle the Twin Cities Anklet Sock for sure. Email me if you have questions about the pattern.
