We’ve Got a New Space!
I’m so happy to announce that The Sweatshop of Love classes have found a home! We’re opening The Sweatshop of Love Studio in Albany Park. This very humble space will be the new home to all of our classes. It’s a little off the beaten path at 3547 W Montrose, but that is allowing us to keep our class prices accessible to all. With easy street parking, coffee, tea, and snacks provided, and no weirdo gawkers or creepers lurking over our shoulders, we hope you are as excited about this new venture as we are!
I’m also so happy to announce that we’ve added a new teacher to our rotation! Leah Coccari-Swift, a knitwear designer and teacher, learned to knit from her grandma at age 4 and has been making things obsessively ever since. She majored in Studio Art (drawing/painting) at Beloit College and predictably worked many odd jobs before finding she could be a professional knit/crochet designer and teacher. She can usually be found tangled up in yarn, cooking and eating, walking outside, or playing with other people’s dogs, and at www.rubysubmarine.com.
So along with Laura McDougal and I, Leah helps bring more advanced classes to the schedule. You’ll see below that we’ve got a TON to offer this Spring Schedule, including project and technique classes, as well as beginner classes in four different crafts!
To sign up or to ask any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We can’t wait to get crafting with you!
