While I’m holding babies and gallivanting in Michigan for a few days I’m going to show you pictures of knitters actually knitting! The Knit a Sweater a Month Challenge  is rocking through summer with shrugs and baby sweaters and other warm weather knits:

Openwork Knit Shrug

Kathy (rav) finished this lovely shrug pattern, Openwork Knit Shrug, that I just love in the mohair-y yarn she used! It looks light and wearable and lovely! And styled perfectly in this picture.

Jacket with Short Sleeves and Shirred Pattern on Yoke Sweater

DROPS sure has a way with words. This sweater pattern is called the ‘Jacket with Short Sleeves and Shirred Pattern on Yoke‘. It’s a good think it’s cute! And Natalie (rav) sure did a great job on it! Work that collar bone, girl!

Short Jacket with Short Sleeves Knit from Side to Side

And this one, also finished by Natalie (who is obviously on a knitting tear!) is called Short Jacket with Short Sleeves Knit from Side to Side. I mean, can I buy a proper noun? Natalie added length to this cute and simple garter stitch jacket to make it much more flattering. Way to rock them out this month, lady!

Milo

Ladybug!

Becca finished two baby gifts this month! First is Milo, one of the absolute cutest baby and child sized vests I’ve seen! The garter stitch yoke and off center cable make this sweater unique and interesting and versatile! Play with the colors for a girl or boy vest.

But her second sweater is just for little girls! Ladybug is a girl’s jacket pattern and sure to be a huge hit since I think every knitter is a sucker for ladybugs. I want one of these for myself!

I’m putting the finishing touches on my latest sweater design, and with a forecast with temperatures only in the 80s I might even be able to model it! More about that sweater tomorrow.

First we’ve got finished July sweaters galore!

River Tweed Cardigan

Ksana knit this beautiful River Tweed Cardigan (every time I try to type tweed I type tweet. Addicted much?) as a test knit. I love the flattering cables on the sides and the corresponding cables on the collar. So pretty!

Anney

Robin knit this super seasonally appropriate and adorable sweater Anney.  I’m a sucker for ribbon details and cables becoming figures, so when I saw this FO I knew it was for me! So cute!

Miss Dashwood

She also knit this super cute shrug, Miss Dashwood! I love the color choice. Most shrugs are knit with safe neutrals so they are super wearable, but this simple lace shawl is a knockout in the lime green! Way to go out on a limb and rock it hard, Robin!

Corvallis Cardigan

Clara finished this fun cardigan, the Corvallis Cardigan, which is the perfect pattern for Clara because it has sizing for all 3 of her kids! This picture is a work in progress; you can see the ends and it needs some buttons, but you can see it’s going to be super rad! Great job Clara!

Corona Camisol

The Corona Camisol is one of my favorite patterns from this last issue of Interweave. The front detail is cute and the sweater is totally wearable! Summer sweater win for sure.

Emmaline

And this is the second Knit a Sweater a Month Challenge appearance of Emmaline from the summer Knitty. The more I see this pattern the more I like it! Those little sleeves! Another amazing example of a summer knit. Way to rock it out Rachel!

Umm… remember the Knit a Sweater a Month Challenge?

The challenge took a back seat to the ebook release this month, but I was so relieved to pop over to our Ravelry group and see that I wasn’t the only person to put this challenge on the back burner.

I was knitting something… don’t really remember what that was… and it surely isn’t going to come back any time soon. I’m cool with it. And I did finish my June sweater! More on that tomorrow.

Cable Car Sweater

Ksana is at it again with this super fancy baby cardigan! The Cable Car Sweater was a test knit but luckily the super cute pattern is already available. It looks super simple and fun to knit.

Buttercup

Vicki jazzed up this simple tshirt pattern, Buttercup, by using some different shades of blue throughout. While she doesn’t know if she is crazy about it, I’m digging the natural tie-dye effect on this flattering tee.

Test Knit Babt Tank

Ksana also knit this adorable Baby Tank as a test knit. Those buttons are great and I love those colors! This girl is just knitting up a storm over here!

Hearts Baby Sweater

Lin finished this sweet baby sweater, too! Those little hearts on there are so cute and unique. This is the Heart Sweater, clearly There are going to be a lot of lucky little girls getting beautiful sweaters this week!

Cardigan Neutral

Becca at Nutmeg Knitter finished up her Cardigan Neutral and it couldn’t have turned out better! I love this cardigan – it’s super easy to throw on over anything and Becca picked a beautiful color. The edging detail is subtle and lovely.

Emmaline

Clara finished up this Knitty pattern, Emmaline, in a beautifully wearable dark red color that looks so easy to dress up or down. This little tee is already a popular pattern and it was just released a few months ago. Great job, Clara! I bet you will be rocking this tee out all summer.

Not Really Animal Print Cardigan

Kate had to take a few shots before getting this fun cardigan into existence. I can’t speak for her of course, but I would be thrilled to get this fun striped cardigan no matter how it came about! See the process here. The original pattern is the Animal Print Cardigan, which makes me want to cry just looking at. Bobbins! Torture!

Juniper Hand Knit Shrug

THEN she turned around and pumped out this cute shrug! I always love when your have a knitting failure and can make your next project something you love.

I haven’t started my April sweater yet, if you can believe it. I’m determined not to start it until April 1st. Luckily that is in 2 days! It will be the first time I haven’t cheated by a few days since the start of this challenge. *shame!*

Have you figured out what I’m knitting next?

Last week I laid down the hammer and scared some knitters into working those needles overtime and it worked! Lots of beautiful sweaters were finished this week that I can’t wait to share with you.

Shalom Cardigan

Vicki is another of our KaSaMC-ers to knit the Shalom Cardigan. I’m loving this cardigan more every time I see it. The front detail is so clear with the beautiful yarn Vicki used and the yoke is unmistakable. I love that I can see this sweater now and know it by name.

Shrug

Marolee finished up this sweet shrug. The color is amazing and it looks like a great sweater to throw over a ton of different outfits. It’s such a simple, classic design. I love it!

Vine Lace Top Down Cardigan

Kris finished up this Vine Lace Top Down Cardigan with two days to spare! She started it for her January sweater but had issues with the gauge. This just goes to show that no matter how much you don’t want to rip out all your hard work, when you finally get your sweater right it’s totally worth it! Look how beautiful this sweater turned out!

Every Way Wrap

Clara knit the Every Way Wrap and, despite some trouble along the way, turned out beautifully! This pattern has been on my mind as a project for my mom for a long time! It’s so versatile it would be great for anyone who loves wearing wraps and shawls. Very pretty!

Mrs Darcy Cardigan

Liz knit this sweater in less than a week! Look familiar?! That’s right! It’s the Mrs Darcy Cardigan, my March sweater, too. Liz had trouble with curling, too, so that makes me feel better. She is going to knit another one for her sister and is going to change the ribbing completely. I couldn’t agree more! With a nice rib this sweater will be perfect, and Liz’s looks great as it is!

And that wraps up March! I can’t even believe it. Congratulations to everyone that is sticking with their sweater knitting goals and punching these beautiful projects out. I can’t wait to see what April brings!

Shrug

Blue Shrug

Becca knit these cute shrugs! I’m pretty sure it’s our first shrug in the Knit a Sweater a Month Challenge. That wide rib closure is so pretty and it looks like a quick knit!

Eyelet Patterned Cardigan

Lin (rav) knit this beautiful Eyelet Patterned Cardigan! That eyelet pattern is so pretty! I love lacy patterns in sweaters and this one is stunning.

Sweater Dress

Mellisa (rav) finished this adorably sweater dress for her daughter! It totally reminds me of sweaters I had when I was that age in the 80s that I wish I still had!

Vogue Cropped Jacket

Zaynab knit this Vogue Cropped Jacket. Look familiar? I love this sweater! It makes me happy that there are other knitters rocking this sweater out there in the knitting universe. And it turned out so well!

Ribbed Sweater

Clara finished this cute sweater for her daughter, which she finished in 10 days thanks to the deadline set by the ravelympics! Two birds with one stone, Clara!

The Nicolas Cardigan

Alexandra (rav) finished this absolutely beautiful little Christening sweater. This sweater would be great for any occasion, though! The cuteness is universal.

St Brigid Cardigan

Vicki knit this beautiful cabled cardigan, the St Brigid, for both the Ravelympics and KaSaMC. The idea of knitting all those cables in 17 days blows my mind! Well done!

Neck Down Cardigan

Wickleweste

Amy (rav) finished her January sweater, the neck down cardigan, and her February sweater, the Wickelweste Junghans! I love the bright colors used in both of these sweaters. And the sideways buttons on the vest are so cute!

Shalom Cardigan

So far the Shalom Cardigan is the most popular sweater pattern in the Knit a Sweater a Month Challenge! I think Sernakl‘s beautiful Shalom is our third one! And it’s no wonder; they have all turned out so well!

Andrea's Sweater Dress

Alexandra (rav) knit and designed this beautiful sweater dress! This is another ravelympics creation so she designed and knit this all in 17 days! All these sweater dresses sure makes me want to knit one myself!

Bombshell Sweater

Valentina (rav) finished up this Bombshell Sweater and bombshell is right! What a flattering fit and color! I love a good short-sleeved sweater and the bust shaping is perfect.

Congratulations to all the KaSaMCers who are right on the knitting track! Every time I write a Tuesday Knit a Sweater  Month Challenge update post my mind is blown, my ravelry queue gets bigger, and I’m inspired to knit immediately. I can only imagine it’s doing the same for you!
