MIA since July, a couple weeks ago I knocked enough off my plate to dig out my giant Harry Potter cross stitch!

Harry Potter Progress!

Harry Potter Progress!

When we last checked in with Harry I had just barely started on the platform 9 3/4 sign. Before I put it down last summer for it’s extended leave I finished the sign but left it there. So over the past couple weeks I stitch some feathers, an owl, the sorting hat, a couple squiggles, the snitch, a couple spells, and some quidditch players who I’m assuming are HP hotties Oliver Wood and Cedric Diggory, then a random Slytherin and Ravenclaw, who is almost done down at the right.

From what I can tell looking at the whole big picture of this thing, once I finish this little section I’ll be about 25% finished. Pretty awesome!

How I Work

How I Work

I wanted to show off how I’ve been managing all this fabric. I’ve still got the bottom half of it tied up with thread, but I’ve also been using binder clips to keep the finished sections of it contained. I’ve been noticing a little pain in the backs of my hands lately which I can probably attribute to managing all this fabric. I’m SO excited about working on it right now that I haven’t been working on too much else, but I’m pretty sure this motivation will wane and I’ll go back to getting some much needed hand rest. In the mean time though, back to Harry!

Have a great, craft filled weekend everyone!
