It’s been approximately 7000 years since I hosted a knit along, so I thought I’d dust off the old Selfish Knit Alongs Ravelry group and make it happen!

Let’s Talk Yarn!

And don’t forget to order some yarn! I’ll be using Knit Picks Gloss Fingering for my sweater.

KP Gloss Fingering in Hawk and Velveteen

I’m going to do a dip color thing because I *think* I’ve got enough Hawk, but to be safe I’ll be starting with the Velveteen. I think this will add some fun visual interest, too! Why not, right?

Basically any and all fingering-y / sport-y weight yarn will work for this sweater. In CA? Use a cotton, like Comfy Fingering. Got some semi solid sock yarn laying around? Perfect! This sweater is meant to be worn with some positive ease, so anywhere in the range of fingering – light sport will set you up perfectly.

And for sure swatch! If only to get some idea of how this sweater is going to grow after the stitches are dropped.

So who’s in?!
