In February I launched my Vintage Inspired Baseball Knits, a 6 pattern collection of baseball knits you can customize to match your favorite team and look awesome all year long.
So this week I want to take a peek at my favorite patterns from this collection and give them a little attention as we move into fall knitting season. First up? My Baby Babe Ruth pattern, a tip of the baseball cap to Babe Ruth.
The Baby Ruth candy bar was not named after baseball great Babe Ruth, but Present Grover Cleveland’s daughter Ruth. Another fun baseball legend? The New York Yankees were the first team to put pinstripes on their uniforms in order to make Babe Ruth look slimmer. Pinstripes were first found on baseball uniforms in 1907, and started being worn by the Yankees in 1918, a couple of years before Ruth started playing for them. But those measly facts aren’t keeping me from honoring Babe Ruth in all his pinstriped glory with this baby onesie pattern.
My new baby nephew Wyatt is the very willing model for my pattern sample and could not look any cuter!Pin It
