I’ve got a new pattern out! This houndstooth pullover is part of the new Knitscene Winter 2013 issue, and I’m so proud of it!
Meet Bristlecone Pullover, a slightly oversized pullover worked from the bottom up in three colors – the main color makes up the sleeves, bottom and neckline ribs, and two contrasting colors that make up the houndstooth pattern.
There is no shaping, raglan armhole shaping, and sleeves are seamed in after knitting them flat. In worsted weight yarn it’s a quick knit! I used Brown Sheep Company Nature Spun Worsted in Natural, Grecian Olive, and Butterscotch. The colors are very… camouflage-y? I’m pretty excited to knit this up in some hit-you-in-your-face pretty girl colors. Wouldn’t it look lovely in white and light pink houndstooth with chocolate sleeves?
But can you go bow hunting in pink? My colors wouldn’t exactly go with the woodsy theme Knitscene was going for!
