Remember a couple months ago when I showed off the knit swatches my knit night crew made for my friend Tara as a wedding present? We all loved them so much that we organized a swap!

Swatches!

Swatches!

There are between 9-11 knitters in the swap (some people are being indecisive!) so we are all knitting up between 9-11 swatches – 1 stitch pattern with different yarns, or 1 yarn in different stitch patterns. Then we are going to have a party where we swap our swatches and put them all together! So we all have matching knit swatch wall art for our homes. Cute right?

Chevron and Feathers

So far I’ve got 6 swatches finished, three in the Chevron and Feathers and 3 in the Ostrich Plume Panel. I just dug through my 101 Stitches to Knit by Harmony Guides and dug out a few lacy patterns I liked. I found some old (and now discontinued) Kitchen Sink Dyeworks Luxe Merino Fine in the stash and it’s looking SO GOOD! I can’t wait to stretch these around the hoops.

These are great on the go projects! Since I’m working through the Holla Knits Accessories patterns, it’s a lot of knitting I need to do glued to the pattern. But since football season started I’ve been grabbing a swatch on my way to the bar and it’s worked out great!

Our swap isn’t until Nov 1st, but I know I’ll have these done way before then. More soon!
