Well, I had no intention of taking a nearly 2 week sabbatical from the blog, the longest break I’ve ever taken from the blog in it’s history, but in retrospect it was pretty necessary. I went to Michigan for a week, had the Holla Knits photo shoot for the Fall Collection in Michigan, came back to Minneapolis with my family for a visit here, then immediately started packing up my apartment and moved on Friday.
And things are coming together in our new apartment. It would be looking a lot better if I hadn’t been glued to my computer all weekend working on the Holla Knits collection that launches Monday, and my Craftsy workshop for my Ridgewood Reversible Shawlette pattern. It’s been a little mad around here!
So our apartment! We kinda started talking about trying to move into a new place, and then BAM! We found this one and signed the lease before I really realized that moving the weekend before the Fall Holla Knits Collection launched would be a bad idea.
Ringing it at twice the square footage of our previous apartment, with a big porch, on a quiet street, in a great neighborhood, in a smaller building, only a few blocks away from Lake of the Isles, closer to PT’s work, and with a parking spot, we kinda couldn’t say no.
This was my first big girl move. I hired movers! Because I’m too old for this shit.
And the best part of the new apartment?
I’ve got a work room. An ENTIRE ROOM for my yarn and crafts and work table and storage and ALL OF IT! I know, it’s a mess right now, but it’s going to be fantastic. I’ll take more pics when I’ve got it all organized!

Omg, it looks huge! Although, I’ll be pretty sad when our skype sessions don’t include PT (out of necessity, because there is only one room he could be in, and that’s the room the skyping is happening in)!

I love your new apartment! I can’t wait to visit you and see it in person. It was fun seeing it via facetime. Which reminds me, we should skype more often so you and PT can talk to the beebs more.

That apartment looks pretty amazing! Craft/work rooms are awesome!
I was thinking just the other day when I was watching the White Sox v. Tigers with Raoul about how much I miss your sports and food updates.

Thanks so much Lori! It is pretty awesome! I’m sitting in it right now and couldn’t be so excited about all the space!
I just had to respond to your comment because it totally made me laugh out loud! I’m so glad somebody is missing my sports updates! haha
Once Holla Knits calms down a little I’ll be able to update everyone on sports and all the food I eat! ha
Thanks so much for your comment and I hope everyone over in Morrison-Contreras land is doing well!
