I’m hosting an online class on Craftsy! It’s the September Knit Along, and it’s going to be fun!
When you sign up for this class you’ll get a skein of Fiesta Baby Boom, the pattern, and access to the online class with step by step instructions and over 30 pictures to help you through the pattern every step of the way.
This shawlette I designed is really fun because it’s completely reversible. It’s full of reversible stitch patterns, including reversible cables, and will really keep you on your toes!
And it’s got a little extra length so it will wrap up nicely as the temperatures cool down.
Check out more information about the pattern here, and be sure to sign up for the class here!

I’ve signed up for your class and got my yarn last week, but nothing is posted on Crafsty about the up coming class…I was wondering if it’s still on and I just have to wait until Sept. 1st to hear anything more about September’s KAL…I was wondering if I should wind my yarn into a ball or not…needles should be arriving soon…I’m looking forward to starting this class, even though we will be using circular needles…question: why are soooo many patters using circular needles lately? I’m more comfortable with single point needles and crochet hooks…just an observation…Thanks!

I’m so sorry you are having trouble and I’m happy to help! If you follow this link you should be able to sign into the class: http://www.craftsy.com/products/sept-knitalong/989
You can absolutely wind your yarn up and get ready to cast on with all of us on the 1st.
You can start the pattern with straight needles if you choose! You will need them for the cabled edging along the outer edge of the shawlette, but the body of the shawlette you can work with your straight needles. I prefer working with circular needles so I feel like I’ve always got them on hand and grab them when I need them or not! I don’t know if that is what other designers are doing more of lately, or if it’s just a funny coincidence!
Please let me know if you have any other questions, otherwise good luck and see you in class!

Hi Allyson,
Thanks for getting back to me so soon. I’m already signed up for the class, I was just wondering if it was still on because Craftsy hasn’t said anything more about it since they first notified us. I’ll get on winding the yarn soon and thanks for the FYI about using straight needles…whewww!
Sincerely,
Diane
