This is cheap. I mean, a newborn with a hand knit headband on? I can’t really lose with this one, can I?
Is she the tiniest, most precious thing you’ve ever seen? I shared a quick phone pic of my new niece Ryenn last week, so you had knew more were coming.
These were taken on her 3rd day of being alive, and naturally I had to throw on a Roses are Red headband I whipped up for her in the car on the way to meet her. I made one on our trip out east a few weeks ago, but thought she needed a little variety in her headband collection. I’m so glad I did because even the tiny headband I made her first was too big for her tiny head!
Not that anyone is reading anything I’m writing right now when there are such cute baby girl pics to look at, but I modified Alana Dakos‘s Roses are Red headband pattern by casting on fewer stitches for the headband and only attaching one rose. I think it works!
Pattern: Roses are Red by Alana Dakos
Yarn: Knit Picks Stroll Tonal Sock Yarn in Yellow and Green
Needles: Size 2s

Adorns! Congratulations to her mama and papa and auntie!

ok. I am admittedly not a fan of headbands on babies (normally it looks like someone stuck a garter on their head) but this is very. very cute.
FTW auntie Allyson. FTW.
