My mom, who is not a big traveler at all, grabbed my sister in law Emily and Baby Nolan and made the very long drive from West Michigan to Minneapolis this weekend for their first ever visit to Minnesota.

Baby Nolan LOVES Ikea!

We did lots of fun things, like hit the Mall of America, chill in Loring Park, check out the Sculpture Park, eat a ton of food out on the grill, and make a trip to Ikea. We don’t have Ikea in West Michigan so it was a first for my mom, Emily, and Nolan. Though at 11 mos pretty much everything is a first for him.

Having the family in town was a great excuse to take a couple days off from my Renegade prep and have an awesome time enjoying the Twin Cities, but now I’m back full tilt! I’m dying fabric and sewing more and stuffing project bags like a crazy lady. I’m also attempting screen printing this week for the first time! I can’t wait to show you what I’ve got planned.

And I’ve got to make time to work on my KAL sweaters! All I want to do is knit, dammit!
