I kicked it into high gear this rainy weekend and knit a ton of my mom’s Bergen Street Cardigan. Friday? Body and sleeves almost finished. Today? DONE!
I picked up some fun wooden buttons at JoAnn that I really think my mom will like, threw them on and BAM! A finished sweater.
It’s one size larger than the one I made myself last December, a size 39″, and I think it will be the perfect size for my mom. This sweater sizing runs pretty big.
Knit Picks City Tweed DK is amazing still, and the colors my mom chose, Blue Blood and Sage Green, are GORGEOUS together.
My mom, my sister in law Emily, and Baby Nolan are coming to Minneapolis next weekend, so I’ll be able to take some pics of the hopefully super happy birthday sweater recipient then.
Pattern: Bergen Street Cardigan by Alexis Winslow
Needles: Size 7s
Yarn: Knit Picks City Tweed DK in Blue Blood and Desert Sage

If I could only look as cute as you in this sweater! I really love the color. Looks like a Hola! moment for me!

You wore yours for my knitting lesson, I loved it! Still do. I daydream of knitting an entire sweater.

This looks super cute. I didn’t think I liked the color combo when I saw it in an earlier post but I was totally wrong. Also love the details on the back and shoulders! Might have to add this to my queue!
