It’s The Sweatshop of Love’s FIFTH anniversary week (yeah, I’m taking a week, damn it!) and to celebrate I’m having a big sale!
All Sweatshop patterns, kits, and knits are 30% off! Use coupon code SOL5YEARS in both my Etsy shop and Ravelry designer page to get this big discount. The coupon expires Sunday, so get up on it!
Giveaway #1!
I’ve decided that if we start knitting for summer it will show up, so I’m going to help the process by giving away patterns and yarn for two of my most popular summer designs! First up is the Traverse City Tube Top:
Traverse City Tube Top is a quick knit cotton top with a back button closure and breezy stitch patterned body. It’s really hot on it’s own and still pretty hot over a long sleeved tee.
I’m giving away the pattern AND the Knit Picks Comfy Sport yarn you’ll need to make it! They’ve got a heap of new colors so I’m pretty jealous of the winner of this giveaway. Already have the pattern? That is ok! You can still win the yarn!
There are Three Ways To Enter:

I would rock this knit with my BIG pregnant belly….or perhaps my prudent would be to rock it with my late Summer getting back to normal after birth belly. Thanks for hosting the giveaway!

Comment by Jennie — April 25, 2011 @ 10:26 am
hmmm, i’ve ever worn a tube top before, so i would rock this out as the very first tube top of my life…better late than never, at age 27…:)
Comment by courtney — April 25, 2011 @ 10:34 am
Well, since the last time I went to Knit Picks to buy yarn to make this top I got sidetracked and ended up buying two sweaters worth of sale yarn, perhaps I should just leave the tube top yarn buying to you! Congrats on 5 years!!!
Comment by Katie — April 25, 2011 @ 10:40 am
I would rock this in a linen color with dark skinny cropped jeans and espadrilles. Super cute pattern.

I would make this tube top for my best friend who gets most of my knits and would look great in a tube top.
Comment by Denise — April 25, 2011 @ 6:00 pm
Retweeted bc I have been coveting this pattern for months…

Whether or not I can pull it off remains to be seen … meaning wearing the tube top, not pulling it off. I’m sure I can easily get it on and off myself. ^_^
Comment by Uhmanduh — April 25, 2011 @ 7:27 pm
I retweeted the link on twitter! (i also googled “how to retweet” to make sure i was doing it correctly, so this has already been a very educational contest for me).

I couldn’t get the coupon code to work on Ravelry! I wanted to buy some patterns that weren’t on you Etsy page. How can I get it to work?
Comment by Miranda — April 26, 2011 @ 10:12 am
I would rock it with a high waist open-hip skirt!

So cool top and giveaway! I’d might rock this top in a great summer color like sunny yellow or maybe something shiny sparkly and deep red to layer. Choices choices! Either way this top is ultra cute, cool and the back button is superb.
Comment by Stacie Dawson — April 26, 2011 @ 9:09 pm
And furthermore, this top would look great as a dress with wedges or over my army green capris with flip flops OR over my cap sleeve T and skinny dark jeans with lots of silver bangles and hoop earrings.
Comment by Stacie Dawson — April 26, 2011 @ 9:14 pm
