We talk a lot of food at The Sweatshop. People who are into food and people who are into crafting are generally one in the same, so naturally when my boyfriend introduced me to Perennial Plate, a web series about sustainable eating in Minnesota, I got way into it. PT started working with Daniel this winter, and I started knitting with Daniel’s girlfriend and cameraman Mirra, and we all became fast friends.
Over the past year Daniel has made 52 episodes showcasing a different aspect of sustainable eating in Minnesota.
In a few weeks Daniel and Mirra are going to embark on a Perennial Plate road trip, putting out an episode a week about people doing amazing sustainable food related things around the country. Mirra will be taking the vegetarian view of this generally meat-centric voyage.
Daniel and Mirra are people you meet and just instantly love, and while my new friends will be gone by the time I get back to Minneapolis in May, I wanted to help them raise some money for their trip.
