If, after my last glowing review of the Kimono Wrap Cardigan, I needed a sign that I should put it down for a while, on Friday I got it.

Kimono Wrap Cardigan Break

You can see I’ve been making some progress, and I would go on knitting this cardigan because I’m sure it is going to be beautiful! But Friday Caitlin and I found out we got accepted to the Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn this June! Caitlin was with me this past summer in Chicago, so we are going to rock it out just as hard this year.

So I do not need to be knitting this cardigan right now. I need to be designing, knitting, writing, packaging, sewing, weighing, ordering supplies, shooting, printing, and pimping three new kits! More on that later.

Kimono Wrap Cardigan is officially hibernating. Enough said.

Afghan Progress!

I’ve been plugging away on my Zig Zag Afghan, though. It’s fun and a nice break for my hands and wrists between hours of knitting. I’ve got about 2 1/2 repeats of the color chart finished, so that is half way! I’ve got until May to finish it so I’ll keep picking it up when I need a break from frantic Renegade knitting.

My Bed

And, since I was shooting my blanket on my bed, I thought I’d show you how I’ve been sleeping while in Chicago! I’ve taken this Ikea platform bed apart, put it back together, taken it apart and put it back together so many times that I finally lost all the screws and bolts, so it’s just sitting on the floor sans legs. Fun, right?! It’s like camping!

I love how everything in this shot is handmade. From the curtains (me) to the quilt (my mommy) and the afghan (my mommy, too), and the big Strawberry Shortcake pillow (my mom!), and the fleece ducky blanket (can you guess? yes! my mom!), and the Bergen Street Cardigan hanging off my chair (me!).
