I spent August of 2010 in Brooklyn. My boyfriend was living there for work so I went to hang out. We lived in a tiny converted garage with 3 windows and mice, so I tried not to stay there too much. While he was at work I walked over to McCarren Park. I spent my afternoons watching joggers and football practices while I knit. I bench hopped, listened to other people’s conversations, and designed this hat.
The yarn I used, Lion Brand Collection One Hundred Percent Superwash Merino, is an ode to my NYC stay, too. I bought it at the Lion Brand Studio and fell in love, both with the store and the yarn.
McCarren Park Cap is an over sized stocking cap with a wide textured brim. The hat is gathered to one side and secured with a two-button closure.
Finished Measurements One size.
