Madison Cowl Ravelry Page ~ Madison Hand Warmers Ravelry Page

Hi, I have just purchased the pattern for Madison Cowl. A beautiful pattern, yes. I have been knitting for 30+ years and have used patterns from a variety of places. One of pet peeves is when I purchase a small, individual pattern, and the creator of the pattern assumes I am from the same country of origin as they are.
Your pattern us vert clear, however, you use some short forms which, while they ‘should be easy to understand’, may not be…. a simple solution would be to provide a standard ‘glossary’ page on your website with a quick link provided with any pattern purchase.
In the meantime, I would really appreciate knowing what PM stands for. It is used in Row 1 of the pattern, and this pattern then goes on to say ‘slip M’.
Please clarify.
Thank you.

Hi Crystal-Dawn,
I’m so sorry you are having trouble. PM is place marker. Abbreviations that are included in the standard list of knitting abbreviations I don’t include in my patterns because the are generally known and/or easy to find, but I am very sorry that this tripped you up.
Thanks again for purchasing this pattern and please let me know if you come across any other problems.
