Monday night She and Him played a free show at the Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park.
And everyone in Chicago decided to go!
Including Tara, Rachel, Laura (sporting a Twin Cities Headband in Blackberry!), and my new roommate Katie.
Tara took this pic of me after I found Gil among the thousands of people. There were so many people networks weren’t working, so it was a multi phone operation.
Some knitting got done.
And we could kinda see the stage once the show started!
(But not really)
We had a blast. There isn’t much better than a sunny afternoon eating mini-cheeses with your best ladies, a little knitting, and some free music. Nights like that make me LOVE living in Chicago so much.

Oh, I’m so jealous! I want to see She & Him!

It was so fun! I always thought they were a cute band but they were super fun live. Made me like them more!

Fun times!!
And I <3 your hair. LOVE.
Atlanta held a free concert this week, Foreigner. Yeah. Not as exciting. Chicago does it right!

I can’t wait for more of these—let’s check the schedules! (I’m so saddened that the whole book club will miss THE THERMALS!)
