Hi,
I just purchased the Baby Sweater Buffet pattern and I love it! I’m envisioning the basic sweater with hood in soft girly colors, like pastel pink and lilac or hot pink and hot coral (for my new granddaughter). I do have a question about the front pockets though, as I’ve read through the pattern. I’m brand-new to this kind of pocket, so I’m hoping you can explain in more detail this section:
“Right Pocket PU 14 sts” … (WS or RS facing?)
” … seaming pocket to sweater as you knit.”
Can you explain that? How do you seam pocket to sweater?
I wish you had a video showing this! I can’t visualize how it’s done.
Really cute patterns!

I recently purchased the Baby Sweater Buffet and it was emailed to me but I was unable to download it. Every time I opened up the PDF file it said it was damaged and could not be repaired. Please email me another copy of this pattern to dsimmons@jpusa.org.
Thanks,
Debby

Hello! I’m rather brand new to knitting (this is only my 3rd project using needles instead of looms) and I have a question about separating the sleeves. (I think it’s mainly due to the fact that I’m not very familiar with reading patterns yet.) Once I’ve separated the sleeves, am I knitting the front, back, and left sides as separate pieces or am I knitting them all as one piece together (no seam)?
Thank you!
Best,
Katherine

Hi Katherine!
You are knitting them all together. Those stitches left on the needles after you separate sleeves so you don’t even have to think about it! When you bind off you can see the body of the cardigan is left, both fronts and back, and the little sleeves are on holders or scrap yarn where you left them.
Please let me know if you have any other questions! I hope this helps. Good luck!

Hi, I purchased your pattern of the Baby Sweater Buffet but thought I saved it to my computer. I’ve lost the pattern and can’t find it on my computer. Is there any way you can email me another copy? My email address is dsimmons@jpusa.org. Please let me know if you are able to do this or not.
Thanks,
Debby Simmons

Hi,
I just downloaded the sweater buffet pattern and have reviewed it. Can you tell me what the different abbreviations mean? There are quite a few different abbreviations that I haven’t seen before. Thanks.

Hi Moira,
I’m so sorry you are having trouble! If you want to shoot me any abbreviations you don’t understand, I’ll be happy to let you know what they stand for. They are all standard abbreviations, so if you find a list of standard abbreviations in a knitting book or magazine that would help, too. Otherwise send them my way and I’ll describe them for you!
Sorry again and good luck!
