As of this moment I’ve got four tiny gifts to make to complete my holiday knitting. We are talking one weekend’s worth of knitting time. And it’s December 3rd! Holiday knitting success!
Based on the emails and texts, facebook and twitter comments I’ve been getting, not everyone is as close to being finished as I am. So what better way to ease some holiday stress than helping you check someone off your to-knit-for list?
I’m giving away custom knit gifts!
Win this giveaway and you will win the chance to pick a project from one of my patterns and the yarn color of your choice. I will knit it up and mail it to your mom/uncle/wife/best friend/step dad by December 18th! Plenty of time to get to your loved one before Christmas.
Your Hand Knit Present Choices Are:

Cabled Cowl

Cabled Change Purse

Slouchy Beret

Eric Man-Beanie or Eric Man-Stocking Cap
Even better? I’m giving away TWO custom made gifts! So you have two chances to win!
To enter: Leave a comment on this post about which gift you would choose and who the hand knit would be for. Extra points for following me on twitter if you don’t already and tweeting this giveaway and becoming a fan of The Sweatshop of Love on facebook if you aren’t already and saying hi on our wall.
You have until Sunday, December 6th to enter! I will contact the winners Monday to get any final instructions before I get materials and get knitting.
The Sweatshop of Love is here to ease some holiday stress! And I can’t wait to read your responses.

I would definitely pick that gorgeous Slouchy Beret! This year my plan is/was/is to knit hats for every one. My mom LOVES the color red, and she only wears beret-style hats…so that is just too perfect for her.

The gift would be for my 18-year-old daughter who just became a marine. She just graduated from bootcamp 2 weeks ago. I recently crocheted scarves and washcloths for her. Your beret would look so cute on her!

The Cabled Cowl would be perfect for my best friend to keep warm (Friends for 15yrs in Allendale, Michigan)… She’s about a block away from your old house Ally, and I know she’d love it so much!
I’m all the way in Florida and can’t visit her this Christmas but, I’m sure this would brighten her Holiday Season.

I think the beret should go to Debbie’s daughter who just became a marine! I think the beret is simply adorable…and I applaud Debbie’s daughter for being in the armed forces. Merry Christmas to all

Hi Allyson, I would absolutely love the Slouchy Hat for my oldest niece. She and I was just talking about this a couple of days ago. I told her that I haven’t made that type of hat yet, but I would try with your help, of course. But I am so busy making the wonderful cowl that you taught me for everyone, I just don’t have the time. She would truly love it!

Hi, my name is Kevin, and I’m trying to plan a 65th birthday for my dad… all he wants is a hand-knit hat and a scarf. He is 6’2″ and has a pretty fat head. He works 2 jobs, and he plays in a rock band. He really needs that hat.
Comment by Jamie — December 4, 2009 @ 2:15 pm
I love that slouchy beret, and envision a nice bulky weight yarn in a delicious dark blue or rich dark green. I used to have a really nice blue one but lost it long ago. Thanks for visiting my blog! I’m off to Twitter and FB to strengthen my chances.

I would give my dad a man hat to go with the very elegant scarf I designed and made for him. He’s hinted that a matching hat would be nice to switch out with his Greek fisherman’s cap sometimes.

What a fun giveaway!!! I’d love to give my friend the cabled cowl
Or the necklace in your next post… that is so gorgeous!! Can we win that??

The kittens destroyed the slouchy hat I was almost done making for my sister’s Christmas present! Then frolicked in its remnants.
Comment by Gil — December 6, 2009 @ 4:54 pm
The Eric Man-Beanie looks just like the one my brother recently lost. A friend of his made it while he was in Peace Corps and he’s devastated that he can’t find it. Imagine his face when he finds a new one on Christmas Day!
Comment by Ryan — December 5, 2010 @ 9:50 pm
Ah jeez. Guess I should have looked at the date. You wouldn’t be hosting a similar contest this year would you?
Comment by Ryan — December 5, 2010 @ 9:51 pm
Unfortunately time hasn’t allowed me to do a custom giveaway this year. It’s a free knitting pattern, though, so find yourself a knitter and bribe her with cookies. I’m sure you can get it done!
