**We use the word Sweater very loosely.

The weather for tomorrow is looking great! Low 60s and sunny. Exactly what I was hoping for! It means we are partying outdoors!

The Sweatshop of Love’s 3rd Anniversary Party and Book Swap is tomorrow, Saturday May 2nd, from 2-5pm. We will be parked on Logan Blvd across the street from New Wave, so bring a blanket or a lawn chair and of course some knitting! If you’ve got some books laying around you think Sweatshoppers will enjoy, bring those, too. You can grab a drink at New Wave or bring your own! There may be some sweet treats sitting around my kitchen I’m planning on bringing as well.

I have been getting questions about this next session of Sweater Club starting Thursday, May 28th and/or Sunday, May 31st, so I wanted to give a couple examples of the summer sweater:

There are lots of great light sweaters out there perfect for knitting and wearing in the summer. A good trick is to pick up a pattern magazine, like Interweave Knits or Vogue, and look through their spring and summer issues. Or, like I’ve done here, look up knitty.com and search for their summer issues. I’ll be happy to bring some magazines tomorrow for you to look at if you give me a heads up!

So sign up for this session of Sweater Club! If anything, summer sweaters are smaller :)

Sweater Class:

Signing up for this class gets you two months worth of classes, one or two classes a week. Plenty of time to finish a sweater! I will help you pick out the perfect sweater pattern with the correct yarn before classes start, then for the next two months come to as many as 16 classes to get all your questions answered and some quality knitting time. Classes will be Thursday nights 7-8:30pm and Sunday mornings 10-11:30am, starting Thursday May 28th, and two months worth of classes costs $120. That is $7.50 a class! You can also chose one class a week, so 8 classes total over two months, for $75, choosing either Thursdays or Sundays. As always, email me with any questions.

I hope to see everyone knitting out in the sunshine tomorrow!
